Forex Ector Expert Advisor: Short-Term Aims, Solid Profits

Today we'll be exploring the Forex Ector expert advisor (EA), a trading robot that seeks to profit from short-term trends on the market. For the time being, the strategy has shown some impressive results on a real account with HotForex and we've decided to check in depth this bot.The Forex Ector is able to trade with seven currency pairs: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY, USD/CHF, USD/CAD, AUD/USD, and NZD/USD, but the account we'll be reviewing today is with EUR/USD and GBP/USD only. The developers of the EA depict its strategy as “low risk scalping following” and indeed there are some signs of the scalping method: sometimes positions are opened within short time intervals and then the series is closed simultaneously.Adding to the signs of a scalping method, we can see that the average trade duration is about six hours. And yet, groups of positions like the one on the photo are rare in the history of trades of the robot. In fact, it most often trades with one or two positions at a time, aiming to make small profits from a short-term trend. Moreover, the backtest for the period between January 05, 2005, and September 30, 2013, shows no such scalping series at all. But it shows excellent gains – they are at 4738% for the entire period, while the relative drawdown is at meager 15%.The robot is definitely able to deliver some substantial profits – the account was launched on October 3, 2013 (this gives us about five months of activity) and the gain is already at 79%. And although the growth chart is not amid the best we've seen, it still shows an overall rise.On top of the solid gains, we should note that the relative drawdown is at an acceptable level of 15%, which does not only indicate small chances of losses but also points to a trading strategy of low risk. In addition, the resulting return-to-drawdown ratio is at 5, which shows that one can expect some robust returns in exchange for the amount of money invested. The average pips per trade, however, are at 5, which is not the strongest reading we've seen. However, if indeed we are dealing with a scalper, we should consider this reading as decent one. Let's recall that we use the average pips per trade to gauge the stability/sensitivity of a system when it comes to sudden changes in market environment and various Forex brokers. We recommend any reading above 5, so the result of Forex Ector EA is acceptable. You can purchase the Forex Ector from the designated website for $159. The license gives you the opportunity to apply the bot on one real account and numerous demo accounts. There is a 60-day money back guarantee, in case the EA does not produce any profits for you.Forex Ector EA is a good Forex robot, able to deliver solid gains, while maintaining drawdown at an acceptable level. Fans of scalping and short-term trend following would probably appreciate this advisor.Any opinions and statements in this article are strictly subjective and should not be treated as investment advice.
