Today we'll be reviewing a newcomer to the field of commercial expert advisors (EAs) – the Easy Walker robot, which is a scalper that has so far managed to show some solid results. To help us in our review, there are a raft of real accounts to which the robot has been applied on Myfxbook. We'll be exploring the account with FXOpen which has been active since the start of the new year – since January 7, 2014, and has shown the best performance results out of all of the accounts. The dedicated website gives a thorough explanation of the strategy of Easy Walker EA – it's a scalper that trades during the Asian session, something we haven't seen in quite a while. I guess many developers have gotten scared of last summer's massacre of scalpers. After all, they are really sensitive to sudden market changes.The Easy Walker EA trades using the fifteen-minutes (M15) time frame and works with the EUR/USD, GBP/USD, EUR/GBP, and GBP/CHF. The trading is not very aggressive: the average duration of the trade is about two hours so no impulse trading is in place. Still you should have in mind that, as with any other scalper, this one is also very sensitive to choice of brokers. The vendors recommend Alpari ECN, FxOpen STP, and Pepperstone Razor accounts. Choice is yours!The small steps of this scalper have so far led it to great profits: after less than four months of trading, the gain is already 73%. Moreover, the profit curve is nicely rising:
The drawdown is at acceptable 12% - actually that's rather low but we have to wait to see whether the EA will manage to keep it that low in the months to come. The return-to-drawdown ratio is good at 6.1 – that's way above the 2.5 reading that we usually recommend. I'll stress one more time that to have a statistically valid reading, we need to see the results for a year and calculate the return-to-drawdown ratio then. But so far, so good. The indications are very good. Here I should mention that the developer of the EA has shown some excellent diligence and has presented us with a number of backtests (different pairs and money management), with all of them showing nice results. Of course, many treat backtests of scalpers with doubt – well, we have them and it's better to have them than not. The bad bit of news, as with any scalper, is that the trading system is very sensitive and that's shown by the average pips per trade which stand at 1.7 – and this is so much lower than the reading of 5 pips that we need to see. Obviously, you need a broker with zero spreads for this robot.This Asian scalper will be yours for the hefty sum of $349 – visit the dedicated website if you want to purchase it. The price goes for one account which makes it somewhat expensive. However, the Alpha EA and its price was close to that one.
